Transportation Liability

Overview:

Our attorneys, some of whom are members of TIDA (the Trucking Industry Defense Association) represent numerous regional and national motor carriers and their insurers in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases as well as property cargo damage claims.

We also have tremendous experience in defending personal injury cases arising from non-commercial automobile accidents. We have tried cases involving spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and cervical and lumbar disk herniation.

We handle transportation liability claims throughout the entire claims process from immediate post-accident investigation and reconstruction through trial and appeal. We believe immediate post-accident investigation and reconstruction is essential to the management of the potential exposure in transportation related cases so our attorneys are available around the clock to respond to accident scenes personally or coordinate on scene investigative measures with our access to accident reconstruction experts, engineers and independent adjusters.

Prompt investigation allows us to quickly evaluate our clients’ potential exposure to liability. We then work closely with the clients and insurance adjusters to appropriately defend our clients while working within the budgetary and billing guidelines of the auto and trucking insurance carriers. We know the impact of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations on personal injury liability and keep those issues in mind when evaluating and defending our clients. While most claims implicate insurance coverage, we also represent self-insured parties.
